HSE MANAGER - 1 POSITION

Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Establish the short-term goals and long-term plans for the department, in line with BMC goals;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and keep abreast of changes in appropriate regulations and legislation;
  • Oversee all HSE mandatory, statutory audits and inspection.  Ensure that all policies and procedures are carried out in accordance to international standards;
  • Review all assessments & reports and ensure that recommendations and solutions yield positive improvement, results and compliance;
  • Update management and business partners on potential issues and recommend preventive measures to monitor and mitigate risks.

 
Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates must either:
Qualification:
  • Possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science or any related discipline. Master Degree and/or technical knowedge on chemical/mechanical as added advantage; AND
Experience:
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of working experience in related field including 5 years’ experience in supervisory role.

MARKETING STAFF - 1 POSITION

Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintain all marketing administrative documents in system and on file;
  • Verify accuracy of all calculations and supporting documents of sales reports and price quotations, and check to the agreed term/conditions of the off-take agreement;
  • Liaise with Logistics Section for loading schedule and quantity of methanol for export;
  • Review and improve the marketing SOP when necessary to achieve efficient and effective work flow within the Finance & Marketing Department;
  • Compile and analyse sales statistics to assist Officer to generate sales report for management and Marketing Committee;
  • Prepare periodic report on industry updates, market news and pricing strategies from methanol publications (ICIS, Platts, etc) for internal intelligence;
  • Ensure compliance to regulations and regulatory requirements by relevant government authorities (Customs, Trade & Export, etc.);
  • Identify and flag out any discrepancies/ errors on all processed documents, and inform Officer accordingly;
  • Assist the Marketing Committee Secretary in duties required for the marketing activities of the company as and when assigned.

  • Possess at least a National Diploma in Business related field; AND
Experience:
  • Three (3) years working experience in marketing.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (For All Positions):
A. In addition to the Eligibility Requirements for each of the vacant position above, all applicants MUST ALSO possess the following general requirements:-
 
1. Able to communicate well in English Language (both oral and written). Ability to communicate in Malay Language is an added advantage;
2. Able to handle multiple assignments and under short deadline; AND
3. Able to work independently or with minimum supervision; AND
4. Possess work planning acumen and have the discipline of being an organized person; AND
5. Able to work in a team-oriented work environment; AND
6. Able to work using computers, especially with Microsoft Office applications; AND
7. Able to write reports and proposals; AND
8. Possess own transportation having own means of coming to work.
   
B. Before any successful candidates are confirmed as an Employee of the Company for the above positions, he/she MUST ALSO pass:
 
1. The Company's physical health and medical fitness (including eyesight and hearing test); AND
2. The Company's Assessment/Appraisal during his/her probation period.
