IT Officer (Server Operations)

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

​

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Server backend operations by performing scheduled maintenance; perform system diagnostics, configuration, capacity planning and computer security on computer systems and infrastructure; do backups, optimize and support communication equipment, including servers, firewalls, switches, routers, communication systems.

  2. Monitor server performance, database logs, database resource consumption, and perform periodic database integrity and daily health checks.

  3. Maintain asset management and licensing records for all IT software and hardware.

  4. Perform enterprise data backup, recovery and archiving processes using available software

  5. Oversees and support new software installation and upgrades.

  6. Manage system patches and version upgrades, and implement appropriate database solutions to ensure optimum performance.

  7. Support Network and Communication to design, improve and configure new/existing

  1. Infrastructure to ensure reliability and optimised performance.

  1. Monitor server availability and alert support staff or vendors when problems arise

  2. Maintain Identity access management, including passwords, on server platforms

  3. Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and keep IT DR Plan up-to-date

  4. Support end-users to resolve problems and request regarding complex system.

  5. Review system logs, data consumption and propose capacity plans to ensure system reliability.

  6. Coordinate with supervisor to ensure appropriate changes are approved prior to implementation.

  7. Develop policies, guidelines and procedures according to international best practices (ISO270001) for safeguarding Company data and information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in IT + 5 years’ experience in related field. 

• Certified CompTIA Server+, CCNA or CCNP as an added advantage.

Electrical & Instrument Engineer

MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT

​

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate, Monitor and Execute all planned and unplanned electrical and instrumentation discipline of maintenance work

  2. Implement preventive maintenance programs

  3. Close communication and coordination with all other relevant departments

  4. Monitoring operational conditions of Plant Electrical & Instruments, and maintaining all relevant equipment drawings and data sheets

  5. Intervening immediately in the event of breakdowns, failures, or malfunctions. Respond to changing circumstances; identify options and plan best solution for prevailing maintenance conditions and rapidly implement the remedial plans

  6. Ensuring that all electrical tools and instruments equipment are kept in good working order; Quality of tools, machine, equipment, or plant maintenance operations, including those carried out by third parties, is in line with reference standards

  7. Responsible for documenting maintenance activities as well as traceability of data concerning the certification of machines and equipment

  8. Provide guidance on implementation of maintenance plan to supervisors and external contractors; ensure schedules are agreed to with supervisors and contractors and delivered at target levels

  9. Assist Senior Maintenance Specialist & Maintenance Manager in providing input for Annual Budget proposal and preparation

  10. Chair daily toolbox meetings and ensure that all aspects of the daily plan (operations, materials, resources) are agreed and coordinated with the relevant departments and that accompanying commitments are adhered to, and variances monitored and documented

  11. Carry out weekly reviews of all outstanding jobs with respective maintenance supervisors and initiate actions accordingly

  12. Constantly update knowledge and skills base to ensure that the most up-to-date and best practice methods are considered within the plant's maintenance areas whenever possible

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and / or Instrument Engineering or related discipline + 3 years’ experience in related field 

• Knowledgeable in safety requirements for major turnaround and maintenance activities 

• Hands-on experience with electrical and instruments, and attended major overhauls for gas processing facilities related to, but not limited to pumps, gas compressors, and special purpose steam turbines

Responsibilities:​

Administration

  1. Responsible in the development, implementation and management of the section’s processes: A) Personnel information and record B) Pre & Post Boarding Employment Arrangement C) Employee related contracts/agreement, status and appointments. D) Employee benefits, welfare and compensations E) Employee attendance management F) Disciplinary & Grievances

  2. Produce relevant correspondences, reports, analysis and proposals.

  3. Responsible for ensuring all HR activities are aligned with the Company and local statutory requirements. Any inconsistency is to be flagged up to superior(s) immediately.

  4. Build partnerships and promote good practice and fair and equitable treatment of all employees, at the best interest of the Company.

  5. Perform any other work tasks assigned by superior(s) in the department.

Business Partner

  1. Responsible to develop, implement and manage HR policies, projects and activities in the following areas according to assigned portfolios:- A) Employee benefits, welfare and compensations B) Disciplinary & Grievances C) Recruitment and selection D) Manpower and organization structure E) Training F) Competency assurance G) Development and Succession plan H) Performance management I) Industrial attachment and apprentice placement J) Employee Engagement activities

  2. Work closely with HR Administration Section on the following matters:- A) Personnel information and record B) Pre & Post Boarding Employment Arrangement C) Employee related contracts/agreement, status and appointments. D) Employee benefits, welfare and compensationsE) Employee attendance management F) Human Resource Management Systems

  3. Provide guidance and consultation to line management of assigned departments including but not limited to the abovementioned HR policies, processes, projects and activities. Where necessary, support them in resolving resolve complex employee related issues.

  4. Monitor and update progress of HR activities. Ensure all HR activities are aligned with the Company and local statutory requirements. Any inconsistency and/or deviation is to be flagged up to superior(s) immediately.

  5. Develop HR Strategies towards improving current practices and processes, including but not be limited to understanding and identifying the needs of various stakeholders; any existing and potential limitations, risks and potential mitigations; feasibility of execution; timeline/schedule; available and required resources; budget and expenditures.

  6. Responsible in ensuring thorough and proper engagement, communication, change management and training to all involving parties from commencement to implementation of any HR projects/activities.

  7. Produce relevant correspondences, reports, analysis and proposals.

Corporate Planning Trainee (Sustainability) - i-Ready

CORPORATE PLANNING DEPARTMENT 

​

Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting sustainability projects and initiatives across the organisation, with a focus on implementation and engagement.

  2. Maintaining collection and reporting of sustainability data for reporting and submissions.

  3. Interfacing with communications teams to produce collateral, communications, and related media.

  4. Facilitating, supporting and organizing meetings. Supporting the implementation of environmental initiatives orientation, sustainability program and practical support projects.

  5. Acquiring knowledge of current best practices, innovations, sustainability tools, energy and emissions, climate adaptation, waste and recycling.

  6. Conducting other responsibilities aligned with the position level as assigned by the Supervisor and the Brunei Methanol Company.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management/Sustainability/Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering or any related field to Environmental Management.

  • Having basic understanding of current global, national and state issues with respect to environmental sustainability and resource management, demonstrable capability and skills in developing systems and processes to collect, manage and report sustainability data will be an added advantage.
