On 12 July 2022, Brunei Methanol Company had the honour of hosting the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Dr. Sujatmiko and his delegation Mrs. Arinta Puspitasari, the Counsellor and Ms. Rafina Indira , the First Secretary.
This was the second diplomatic courtesy visit hosted by the company for the month of July since the pandemic hit.
Our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kaneshige Kubushiro, and our Executive Management members welcomed His Excellency and his delegation and gave a brief overview about the company. It was a fruitful session as the visit was aimed at understanding more about our business and to explore economic opportunities.
Since diplomatic relations between Brunei and Jakarta were established back in 1984, relations between the two countries were progressing well in many facets of co-operation such as trade and investment, tourism, agriculture, marine and health.
His Excellency showed interest in BMC’s contribution to Brunei’s economy as a stable methanol supplier. The courtesy visit ended with a tour of our plant facilities.
His Excellency Dr Sujatmiko presented a token of appreciation to our Chief Executive Officer, Kaneshige Kubushiro.
