On 20 September 2024, representatives from BSP visited our methanol plant facility for an insightful knowledge-sharing session. This session centered around our dehydrator unit and the associated chemical processes.
Led by our Plant General Manager, Mr. Mohd Nor Amin Bin Hj Abd Wahab, and Maintenance Manager, Mr. Sahfri Bin Damit, the session provided BSP representatives with a firsthand look at our centrifugal dehydration unit, a critical component of our waste management system. Key attendees included Mr. Haji Sufri Sulaiman, Asset Onshore Manager; and Mr. Michael Turner, Head of Production Chemistry.
The centrifugal dehydration unit separates solid waste from wastewater generated by our methanol production process, enabling BMC to safely discharge treated water in accordance with environmental and waste disposal regulations. Given our operational differences, we produce and manage different types of waste.
The representatives also took the opportunity to examine our wastewater management system, which includes neutralization and coagulation processes. Through open dialogue and hands-on learning, we hope BSP gained new insights to further enhance their operations.
At BMC, we are committed to building stronger partnerships and supporting our business partners, reinforcing our shared commitment to success and operational excellence in the oil and gas industry.
