BMC hosted a distinguished delegation from Japan’s House of Representatives on 6 August 2024. The visit was part of their business itinerary to engage with Japanese companies operating in the Sultanate. The delegation, led by Mr. Hoshino Tsuyoshi, Chair of the Standing Committee on Cabinet, was accompanied by representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, Mr. Minowa Tomonori, Ms. Mori Rika and Ms. Furman (Noma) Fumie.
Our Deputy CEO, Abdul Mu'izz bin Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan, along with other members of the executive management and company representatives warmly welcomed the delegation.
With 75% of BMC equity held by Japanese corporations, our company representatives shared an in-depth introduction to BMC’s operations, highlighting our contributions to the local economy through diversification efforts aimed at strengthening the downstream economy, along with the various initiatives to support social development and sustainable practices in the Sultanate.
The visit concluded with a tour of our plant facilities, providing the delegation with a firsthand view of the infrastructure and operations that underpin our success.
