BMC HOSTS TATSUMI MARINE TO DISCUSS LOADING OPERATIONS SAFETY

With the huge demand for methanol in Asia, BMC’s Methanol Export Facility (offshore) serves as a vital conduit, strategically positioned for exporting high-quality methanol to international markets. Our Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility serves as a pivotal hub for exporting product methanol, ensuring seamless cargo transfer operations.

As such, on 15 October 2024, Tatsumi Marine Co., Ltd., a Japan-based company specializing in ocean transportation, operates a fleet of vessels and manages its Southeast Asian market through its subsidiary, Tatsumi Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd, and being one of BMC’s offtakers’ nominated vessel operator, reached out to BMC to better understand the safety protocols, best practices and requirements for loading operations at our SPM.

Joining the learning session were representatives from ITOCHU Singapore Pte Ltd, Amaniaga Resources (M) Sdn Bhd (ARSB), Seatrade Shipping Co., Southern Shipping Pte. Ltd and Bureau Veritas (BV), who provided insights from their involvement in our loading operations.

It was a fruitful session for everyone, and served as a platform for parties to share and identify opportunities for safety improvements and efficiency in our operations.

Insights were shared as we explored opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency in our loading operations, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
