On 31 August 2023, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) had the privilege of joining a workshop hosted by Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd and facilitated by Accenture. The event, centered on “Progressing Industrial Collaboration towards Net Zero Cluster concept” aimed to foster collaborative efforts towards industrial decarbonization while boosting Brunei’s economic competitiveness.
Held at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Hotel and Country Club, the event was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II. Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis, BSP Managing Director and Shell Country Chair, warmly welcomed and concluded the event, emphasizing its significance.
The workshop brought together representatives from the Brunei Government as well as from the Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and Power industries, all united by a shared goal – exploring sustainable solutions for Brunei industries. This effort aligns with the pressing need to address environmental challenges and reduce industrial emissions, playing a pivotal role in realizing a net-zero industrial cluster in the Sultanate.
With our unwavering commitment to responsible practices, we are honoured to participate in this collaborative initiative. Through our collective efforts, we have actively contributed to exploring pathways that not only drive positive change but also actively contribute to the advancement of Brunei’s environmental goals.
