On 11 August 2017, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd ("BMC") organised a Stakeholder Dialogue Session with the community of Mukim Liang Lumut as part of the company's CSR rogramme. Village Heads of Kampung Sungai Liang Lumut, government departments, private sectors and local community members invited to the event.

Guests were welcomed by Awg Saifullilah Bin Haji Ahmid, our Corporate and Office Services Manager. Our project team representatives also briefed the attendees on the company’s upcoming projects and activities in 2017.

One of the highlights would be the upcoming Scheduled Turn Around (STA) from September to October this year. STA is a scheduled plant shut down for the purpose of upholding and maintaining the integrity and reliability of major equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation. STA would encompass of works done on both our onshore facilities and offshore marine export facilities.

Since the beginning of its commercial operations, BMC has been actively involved in outreach programmes and community development events. This helps to maintain the company's close relationship with government stakeholders and also the community as part of its CSR.
