With the theme “Energy Security and Energy Transition: Today and Tomorrow”, this event served as a platform for key players in the Energy Sector to showcase their activities and contribution to the country’s economic growth and provided a networking opportunity for local contractors to establish business relations with the exhibitors.

The Energy Week also saw the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office launching our newly revamped website, alongside our updated corporate video. The Minister was received by Mr. Kaneshige Kubushiro, our Chief Executive Officer, along with our other BMC management members and head of departments.
Our exhibition booth was designed to showcase our support to the i-Usahawan programme, our milestone achievement to date and business roadmap for future progression. Members of the public also had the opportunity to learn more about our business and the methanol production process from our committee members.
Over the four days of the Energy Week, BMC was also involved in the vendor pitching as part of the Market Engagement session where we connected with local entrepreneurs and businesses in the country.
The Energy Week also included a Career Path Fair, which was held at the Main Conference Hall, ICC. We drew a number of jobseekers and members of the public to our booth, where they explored their career options with BMC.
BMC’s participation extended to the Energy Seminar also, where our HSE General Manager, Pg Mohammad Supri bin Pg Hj Chuchu, was invited by Petroleum Authority to speak on the topic of “Growing Importance of HSSE in Energy Sector”, together with a few other HSSE key persons in the energy sector. Drawing from his years of experience, he shared his view on how behaviour can affect business and client relationships.
As the energy sector is the nation’s oldest and most mature industry, BMC strives to make an impact to promote sustainable economic growth in the country. As such, we are honoured to be part of the Energy Week this year. A big thank you to all our exhibitors and committee members for making the four days a successful one.
