As BMC approaches 15 years of commercial operations, we are proud to announce an exciting step towards advancing education and innovation.
Together with Universiti Brunei Darussalam, on 16 January 2025, we signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), showcasing a first-of-its-kind collaboration which reflects our commitment to empowering young researchers and exploring cutting-edge technologies, contributing to Brunei's economic diversification.
Through this collaboration, UBD Master of Science research students will gain hands-on experience tackling real-world challenges under the guidance of technical experts from BMC and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc. (MGC) at their Niigata Factory in Japan, as BMC's methanol production process was jointly developed with MGC.
“At BMC, we are committed to supporting education and developing youth talent for the future. This collaboration is a step forward in advancing Brunei’s sustainable development and supports the Wawasan 2035 goals of developing a highly educated and highly skilled society,” said our CEO, Mr. Jesús Enrique Mora Marín, at the event.
This collaboration with @ubdbuzz @ubd.ieed aims to drive innovation and inspire new generations of leaders.
Through our CSR strategy #RESPECT, we remain dedicated to initiatives that create a lasting impact—empowering youth, promoting research excellence, and contributing to Brunei’s economic growth. As His Majesty the Sultan once stated in his Titah, students are national leaders and agents of change that will realise the country’s future aspirations under Wawasan 2035.
Let’s innovate, inspire, and build a sustainable future together! 💡✨
